RESUMO:
Neste trabalho propôs-se apresentar o conceito de autodidatismo, a importância do professor como mediador do conhecimento, o armazenamento e recordação de memórias no cérebro humano e a entrevista onde o objeto de estudo (o entrevistado, professor e autodidata Gilberto de Souza) compartilhou experiências e conhecimentos próprios dele. Assim, buscou-se demonstrar que o autodidatismo como auxílio para o aprendizado de língua inglesa propicia experiências de estudo mais facilitadora e simples, leva-se em consideração que existem duas maneiras de exercer o autodidatismo: a primeira acontece a partir do momento em que o indivíduo tem o contato com o mundo externo; a segunda é quando há a instrução por meio do professor.
ABSTRACT:
In this work it was proposed to present the concept of self-teaching, the importance of the teacher as a mediator of knowledge, the storing and recalling of memories in the human brain and the interview where the object of study (the interviewee, teacher and autodidact Gilberto de Souza) shared experiences and knowledge of his own. Thus, it was sought to demonstrate that autodidactism as an aid for learning the English language acts in order to provide a more facilitating and simple study experience, taking into account that there are two ways to exercise self-study: the first happens the moment the individual has contact with the external world; the second is when there is instruction through the teacher.
